Review: Luxcrime Airy Lip Mousse | Gin and Glow

Recently, Luxcrime - one of Indonesia's famous beauty brand, released their Airy Lip Mousses. Available in eight different shades, this product generated buzz across YouTube and Instagram.

Luxcirme has been around long enough, as far as I remember, they were one of the first local brands to release matte liquid lipsticks when it first started trending. Since last year, I feel like the trend slightly changed - soft, velvety matte lip products became popular. Good for Luxcrime, they joined the hype and created Airy Lip Mousse.

As I said before, Airy Lip Mousse comes in 8 different shades, however I only own 4 of them (Berry Blossom, Mauvemellow, Almond Truffle and Choco Fondue). As usual, I will review this product based on the packaging, formula, pigmentation, finish and ease of use.

Now let's just get into the review, keep reading!

Airy Lip Mousse comes has this tube packaging with a frosted finish. The cap is green, similar to the box. The frosted packaging is still see-through, allowing you to see the color inside it and how much product you have left. I feel that kind of packaging very decent and the frosted finish added a little luxurious touch to it.

It also has a doe-foot applicator which makes it easy to 'draw' and fill in your lips. I find the applicator very helpful and sturdy.

Since I only got four, I will only be reviewing the four shades I have. I will update this blogpost if I get more of these.

Berry blossom is described as a rosy peach pink. It's a pretty accurate description, however it looks more pink than peach. This shade reminds me of my most-used lipstick back in the day, Tom Ford Spanish Pink.

Almond Truffle is described as a warm brown nude. However since it's quite warm, it reads more terracotta because I find this brown has an orange tint to it as well. This shade is quite similar to Rosé All Day's Mini Mousse in Etta.

Mauvemellow is described as muted purplish pink, an accurate description as well, you don't have to worry about it being purple though, it's a pink with a hint of mauve. This reminds me of Rosé All Day's Mini Mousse in Whitney.

Choco Fondue is described as a light chocolate brown. Now this one is also accurate. Choco Fondue looks like a neutral brown nude, it's brown based but not too warm.

These Airy Lip Mousses are very pigmented in one swipe. You can layer it up to five times according to Luxcrime themselves, making this product perfect to create those ombre lips. They all have the same finish, velvety matte, and lightweight feel. The application is also smooth and it does not accentuate dry lips very much (if your lips are very dry, it might show, but if your lips are just moderately dry, this product won't accentuate it).

Once applied, the product dried pretty quickly and once it dries, it does not transfer. I tried eating with this on my lips, drinking and talking, it stays on perfectly well. For me, this is long-wearing. Not to mention that. After trying it for hours, I can say that this does not dry my lips out. This product also has a scent of something sweet, like a cake or something, but it doesn't bother me, really, I like desserts!

I also think that all of the colors would fit every skin tone, it's all just a matter of preference. I got these for IDR 103,500 each and for the quality and the amount of product, I can safely say this product is affordable.

In conclusion, this product is worth buying. I would buy them again or buy more of them if I'm not on a spending ban. The packaging is beautiful and sleek, not tacky. The formula is non-drying and it does not accentuate dry lips. Pigmentation is awesome and application is smooth and easy. My favorite shade is Choco Fondue, for two reasons. One, it's a very unique color and I don't think local brands have this kind of shade, two, it stands out among the other shades in this line.
