Review: Drunk Elephant TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum | Gin and Glow

Drunk Elephant is a clean at Sephora brand that has become one of the most popular skincare brands on the market to this day. Their bright-colored bottles surely have captured people's attention!

Hello everyone, I hope you're having a wonderful day or evening, depending on where you are. Today I would like to review one of my holy grail skincare products that clearly has stolen the hearts of many, the Drunk Elephant TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum.

This has been in my PM routine for more than 2 years, so I've been using it more than enough to actually write a review on it. Please keep in mind that this review is based on my own experience & each person's skin is different. Now, if you're interested, please keep on reading!

The serum comes in the iconic Drunk Elephant packaging, a white rectangular bottle with a twist-pump. This packaging is completely opaque and airtight so the product inside is protected from oxidation and contamination. You can pick TLC Framboos from a lineup easily because the cap (twist-pump) is bright pink. I find the packaging cute and functional.

This serum is formulated with a blend of 12% AHA and BHA (glycolic, lactic and salicylic acid). I checked the ingredients list and those 3 acids are pretty high up on the list, in fact, glycolic acid is the second ingredient while salicylic acid and lactic acid are the sixth and seventh, respectively.

The serum has a clear, gel texture. It smells like nothing since Drunk Elephant does not use fragrance in their products. The serum is a little bit tacky, but it's fine, it's not a problem since I feel like the slight tackiness actually helps the next product I apply to adhere and absorb better.

Once applied on the skin, it absorbs fairly quickly. When I first used this product around 2+ years ago, it tingled a bit, but after a week of usage, my skin has adapted and since that time, I experienced no tingling and mild dryness.

Performance wise, I think this product is otherworldly. Due to the high concentration of acids, this serum effectively exfoliates dead skin cells and the salicylic acid even helps dissolve all the gunks inside the pores, preventing clogged pores that can lead to acne.

After using this product for quite some time, I notice that my skin is glowing (usually it's dull) and I also see visible improvements in skin texture. Having combination, acne-prone skin, I tend to get clogged pores - whether it's blackhead or just those flesh colored bumps, after using Drunk Elephant TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum, I rarely get those. My skin feels smooth & looks smooth, my hyperpigmentations are lighter, I have nothing bad to say about this.

In conclusion, I love this stuff. I use it almost every night and it definitely helps with skin texture, dullness and hyperpigmentation. If you are struggling with hyperpigmentation and or congested skin, I think you'll love this.
